Jewel Branding & Licensing was started in 2008 by Julie Newman.  Jewel's mission was to search out and represent a talented group of designers and artists that would appeal to the modern, more savvy consumer on a global level.

At Jewel, we understand the retail environment, trends, and the importance of well designed, innovative and unique products.    We receive hundreds of artist submissions a year and we review all of them to select the most qualified designers that can not only provide a great piece of art, but will work hand in hand with you to create new products.

Our diverse portfolio allows us to match licensees with the most appropriate artist, brand or designer that will best suit their needs. The Jewel portfolio includes artists that can work on spec, brands with proven retail success and sell through, and designers who are up to date on all of the latest trends.

Jewel understands that today's consumer has eclectic taste, and likes to purchase well designed, innovative products that make a statement. Jewel selected an elite group of artists and brands that appeal to manufacturers and licensees that are looking for more than just good art and are eager for new ideas.  Jewel's portfolio of brands offer creative, fresh art and new product concepts that appeal to a very discriminating consumer.

Jewel works alongside each brand, as their partner, to create a strategic long term licensing plan that maximizes their brand exposure.  Jewel then implements each strategic plan by negotiating licensing agreements with key manufacturers and building cross merchandised programs at retail.

Jewel approaches each Brand from a global perspective, working to build licensing programs across many territories.  Since Jewel started we have signed over 200 new licensees for her portfolio of brands in the US, Japan, Korea, France, South America, Singapore and the UK.
