Kathy Denness: Mom, Designer, Entrepreneur
Kathy Denness, founder of Clairebella, began designing baby items after her two children were born. While living in Sydney, Australia, with her husband and two children, Kathy used her art background creating and selling hand painted children's furniture to boutique and specialty stores. She was also a freelance designer of children's fabrics.
Retail placement
After returning to the U.S., Kathy began looking for another way to showcase her creativity through children's products and launched Clairebella in 2003. In just a few short years, Clairebella has quickly grown to be sold in Nordstrom's and in over 700 specialty stores around the world. The Clairebella brand consists of blankets, canvas art, bibs, burp cloths and moses baskets. In 2010, Clairebella launched a home collection featuring personalized gifts for the home with Kathy's unique color and pattern combinations.
In 2012, Clairebella has launched several products including cell phone cases with Mycustomcase.com, Murals with Murals Your Way, and custom greeting cards on Simply to Impress.com. In 2013, Clairebella will be launching wall art, and a complete home decor line including bedding, bath and kitchen textiles. We are looking for opportunities gift and tabeltop items to complement her line of many producst selling at retail.
