Love of drawing
Heather has been drawing butterflies and fairy princesses since she was a little girl growing up in suburban Massachusetts. Her love for art and drawing led her to study graphic design at the Massachusetts College of Art.
Published Author
Illustrating for the children's market was always close to her heart, so her career led her to work as an Art Director at a children's book publisher, Intervisual Books. There she designed and art directed novelty and pop-up books for babies and pre-schoolers, including two of the companies biggest hits, "Ten Little Ladybugs" and "What Makes A Rainbow?"
Sweet and sophisticated designs
From there, Heather moved on to Mattel and worked as a senior designer at Barbie Consumer Products. At Mattel, she designed Barbie Brand products for girls around the world. Categories included publishing, stationery, toys & activity, electronics, sporting goods, health & beauty aids and candy & gift.
This experience taught Heather how to create and manage a lifestyle brand - while integrating fashion trends, innovative materials & silhouettes, fresh color palettes & patterns into a seamless lifestyle experience.
Heather’s fresh and whimsical illustrations capture the heart of a sweet, but sophisticated consumer. Young, stylized illustrations blended with graphic patterns bring a fun, modern twist to much loved juvenile themes.
We are proud to have launched partyware with Unique Industries and fabrics by the yard with Eugene Textiles in 2012.
